A San Fernando Valley native, Michelle Knutson comes to The Agency Beverly Hills with a wealth of up-close and first-hand real estate and property management experience. Specializing in residential property flips and resales, Michelle has worked closely with Paul Lester and Aileen Comora, two of The Agency’s most-highly regarded top producers.
“I have been surrounded by the business and its transactions from a young age,” says Michelle. “My family's real estate portfolio contains nearly 50 properties across seven states and includes both rental income properties and true flips so I have first-hand knowledge of the development process from start to finish. I also purchased a home myself at the age of 23 in Nashville, Tennessee for rental income purposes. After that experience, I got the ‘bug’ and wanted to learn the business more in-depth myself. I wanted to become an agent in order to be that same guiding force for others to purchase property that my parents were for me.”
Upon graduating from Campbell Hall High School in Studio City, Michelle attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas where she studied marketing and fashion media. While working for the iconic fashion brand Chanel, Michelle deepened her awareness of effective brand execution and customer service in the luxury realm. Michelle later worked as a buyer for trendsetting lifestyle and fashion brands goop and Paige.
Calm yet firm, patient yet driven, Michelle is known for her consistently polished approach to serving her clients. “By quietly listening to their needs and tapping into my knowledge of the market, I hope to find my clients their ideal home before they themselves can fully vocalize or envision exactly what they want,” says Michelle. “Having worked at one of the paramount couture brands and with multiple executives necessitating discretion based on their alternate careers, I have learned how invaluable it can be to respect a client’s time, act with discretion and provide premier customer service.”
In her free time, Michelle supports the Boys and Girls Club in Burbank. She also enjoys organizing her home to near-perfection (“I blame The Home Edit and Marie Kondo,” Michelle says), doing Pilates and other wellness activities, and spending time by the ocean. Dogs are also among Michelle’s greatest passions, particularly Tibetan Spaniels.
